Volunteer Onboarding ProcesS:

Step 1: Complete the membership application (see bottom of this page). Additional documentation, credentials, certifications or information pertaining to the application can be emailed to onboarding @ veteransrespond.org if you are unable to attach them to the application.

Step 2: Within 3 business days of an application being submitted the applicant will receive an email containing a membership dues payment link ($68/year).

Step 3: Upon payment of dues the volunteer’s account will be enabled and they will be added to the various internal systems (MS Office Online, Slack internal communications hub, etc). After access to the systems has been enabled the volunteer will receive an email containing links to those systems and relevant account info.

At this point the member is classified as a “Response Member Prospect” until minimum training and legal requirements for disaster deployment are completed.

The following are the minimum training and legal requirements to progress from Response Member Prospect to Qualified Response Member:

  1. FEMA ICS-100 (Introduction to the Incident Command System)
