Additional documentation, credentials, certifications or information pertaining to the application can be emailed to <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">onboarding @ veteransrespond.org<\/span> if you are unable to attach them to the application.<\/p><p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Within 3 business days of an application being submitted the applicant will receive an email with details on how to complete the required minimum training.<\/p><p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Upon completion of the required minimum training the member will be given a link to complete the mandatory background check. Upon passing they will be placed into the membership database .<\/p><p>The following are the minimum training and legal requirements to be considered qualified for disaster deployment:<\/p><ol><li>FEMA ICS-100 (Introduction to the Incident Command System)<\/li><li>ICS-200 (ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents)<\/li><li>NIMS-700 (An introduction to the National Incident Management System)<\/li><li>NIMS-800 (National Response Framework, An Introduction)<\/li><li>Completion of an approved CPR\/AED course.<\/li><li>Submission of the VDC Blanket Liability Waiver<\/li><\/ol><div>Additional training may be required before a member is considered qualified to join a specialty team.<\/div><h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.veteransrespond.org\/index.php\/responder-signup-2\/\"><strong>PROCEED TO APPLICATION<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Volunteer Onboarding ProcesS: Step 1: Complete the membership application (see bottom of this page).
